This course teaches fundamental math concepts necessary for Customs Brokerage. Students will practice using math to convert currency, calculate linear and area measurements, convert between English and Metric Systems, maximize container utilization, and account for the forces caused by shipping weight. It also includes a review of basic math concepts.


Course C11 is a shortened version of C10 “Math Used in International Trade and Cargo Transportation Online Training” (click here to view).

 

Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion will be available for download. The course can be completed 6.25 hours or less and earns NCBFAA-registered students 6 CCS continuing education credits.

For those who are already a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or a Certified Export Specialist (CES) registered with the NCBFAA, provide us with your CCS/CES ID number and you will automatically get continuing education credits upon the successful completion of a qualified course. To get your CE credits, follow these easy steps:

 

  1. Register for DB Schenker online training (if you haven’t already done so)
  2. Login with your user name and password, and you will be directed to your “My Page” section.
  3. Select “Update user record” on the right, enter your CCS or CES number in the “NCBFAA ID” field, and click Submit Update.

That’s it! Once you’re signed up, we’ll automatically send any CE credits you earn directly to the NCBFAA!
