This class highlights the basic math commonly used in international trade and cargo transport, such as how to calculate cargo shipment dimensions; or how to determine transportation costs for a shipping container. It will even teach you how to determine the amount of water-proof sheathing needed to cover a large cargo item. The course also includes basic English/metric system conversion and currency conversion, as well as how to account for time zones and determine what is the best time to call overseas.

 

Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion will be available for download. The course can be completed in 10 hours or less and earns NCBFAA-registered students 12.5 CCS/CES continuing education credits.

For those who are already a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or a Certified Export Specialist (CES) registered with the NCBFAA, provide us with your CCS/CES ID number and you will automatically get continuing education credits upon the successful completion of a qualified course. To get your CE credits, follow these easy steps:

 

  1. Register for DB Schenker online training (if you haven’t already done so)
  2. Login with your user name and password, and you will be directed to your “My Page” section.
  3. Select “Update user record” on the right, enter your CCS or CES number in the “NCBFAA ID” field, and click Submit Update.

That’s it! Once you’re signed up, we’ll automatically send any CE credits you earn directly to the NCBFAA!
