This online class gives students an introduction to Customs entries, Customs valuation and duty computation, finalization and post-entry handling of customs entries, country of origin and marking requirements, record-keeping requirements, and how the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) enforces US import laws and regulations.


This is an intermediate level course and is recommended if you have taken course C21u or already have some import experience. Although the operational particulars in which US importation takes place varies with the transportation mode, this course is applicable to all operational environments.

Note: Our introductory courses are applicable to all operational environments, even though operational processes may vary by transportation mode.

For those who are already a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or a Certified Export Specialist (CES) registered with the NCBFAA, provide us with your CCS/CES ID number and you will automatically get continuing education credits upon the successful completion of a qualified course. To get your CE credits, follow these easy steps:

 

  1. Register for DB Schenker online training (if you haven’t already done so)
  2. Login with your user name and password, and you will be directed to your “My Page” section.
  3. Select “Update user record” on the right, enter your CCS or CES number in the “NCBFAA ID” field, and click Submit Update.

That’s it! Once you’re signed up, we’ll automatically send any CE credits you earn directly to the NCBFAA!
