This protects you from liability if a Motor Carrier you have contracted with causes injuries or a fatality. It covers settlements and legal fees, up to the policy limit. Excess Contingent Cargo Liability Coverage is also available.
This coverage protects Freight Brokers from liability for the loss of cargo, should the Motor Carrier’s insurance fail to cover the claim.
Commercial Auto Liability protects you as a Freight Broker should you be held responsible for legal costs, medical bills or property damage caused by your contracted Motor Carrier.

This is coverage that Freight Brokers can offer as a convenient value-add to their clients. This all-risk policy covers the value of the freight being shipped and the cost of shipping plus 10% (also known as CIF plus 10%). The freight broker holds the policy, but claims are paid directly to the shipper/client. This differs from regular Cargo Insurance, where the shipper holds the policy.
