Part 8: Post-Entry Summary Filing Operations and CBP Enforcement is eighth in a nine-part series of introductory classes on US Customs Brokerage. This course can be taken out of sequence if desired.
This course covers basic Automated Broker Interface (ABI) entry transmittal requirements. It covers the operational sequences needed to to prepare the entry information prior to transmittal. We then will address post entry operational and customs requirements, including re-forwarding and entry liquidation, as well as accounting, including billing and record keeping. US import violations and enforcement measures will also be covered. We will pay special attention to the administrative and criminal sanctions that result from import violations, as well as the role Customs Brokers play in thwarting terrorism, smuggling and fraud.
Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion will be available for download. The course can be completed in 7 hours or less and earns NCBFAA-registered students 7 CCS continuing education credits.
