Part 3: Cargo Release Processing; Surety Bonds is the third of a nine-part series of introductory classes on US Customs Brokerage, and should be taken after completion of Part 2.


This course begins with instruction on what transportation information is required for a customs release. It then addresses entry and non-entry types. It also covers importer Customs Bonds and Surety Bonds.

 

Note: The actual processing of a customs entry is covered in Part 6 of this introductory course series.


Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion will be available for download. The course can be completed in 12.5 hours or less and earns NCBFAA-registered students 13 CCS continuing education credits.

For those who are already a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or a Certified Export Specialist (CES) registered with the NCBFAA, provide us with your CCS/CES ID number and you will automatically get continuing education credits upon the successful completion of a qualified course. To get your CE credits, follow these easy steps:

 

  1. Register for DB Schenker online training (if you haven’t already done so)
  2. Login with your user name and password, and you will be directed to your “My Page” section.
  3. Select “Update user record” on the right, enter your CCS or CES number in the “NCBFAA ID” field, and click Submit Update.

That’s it! Once you’re signed up, we’ll automatically send any CE credits you earn directly to the NCBFAA!
