This US Import Personnel course encompasses all of the minimum security focus areas and the categories that “must” be met. We begin with the requirements for all CTPAT members and their business partners. The course concludes by discussing the benefits, eligibility requirements, and specific criteria for U.S. Importers.

The education of employees is a vital component of the “people and physical security” focus area of the minimum security criteria (MSC) of the CTPAT program. This class is designed to foster awareness and recognize vulnerabilities in the supply chain.

MSC 12.1 (Minimum Security Criteria) under the CTPAT program mandates regular security training for employees of US importers. New hires must receive this training as part of their orientation and/or job skills training. This class is designed to meet the CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) security training and threat awareness requirement for employees who must understand, perform and/or otherwise comply with operational-level security measures.

Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion will be available for download. The course can be completed in about 4 hours or less and earns NCBFAA-registered students 4 CCS continuing education credits.

This course can be used for both initial training and annual refresher training. Because CTPAT security measure implementation varies by company, this course provides general-purpose coverage of these topics only. For larger groups, we recommend customizing this training by supplementing with company-specific security policies and procedures. Please contact us for more information about customization.

For those who are already a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or a Certified Export Specialist (CES) registered with the NCBFAA, provide us with your CCS/CES ID number and you will automatically get continuing education credits upon the successful completion of a qualified course.
