This class covers “Minimum Security Criteria” required under the CTPAT (Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) program for employees of US exporters. It is designed to meet the CTPAT security training and threat awareness training requirement for employees and for new hires who must understand, perform and/or otherwise comply with operational-level security measures.
The course focuses on the “people and physical security” area of the minimum security criteria (MSC). Training of personnel to recognize threats, be aware of vulnerabilities, and understand the important role each person plays in securing the supply chain is required by the CTPAT program.
Important: Supervisors and managers that have the responsibility of setting-up, documenting, administering, and ensuring compliance with their company’s CTPAT program should take S15u – CTPAT for U.S. Exporter Managers, Supervisors & Administrators. S15u contains more in-depth coverage, certification, and validation requirements.
Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion will be available for download. The course can be completed in 3.75 hours or less and earns NCBFAA-registered students 3.75 CES continuing education credits.
Note: This course can be used for both initial training and annual refresher training. Because CTPAT security measure implementation varies by company, this course provides general-purpose coverage of these topics only. For larger groups, we recommend customizing this training by supplementing with company-specific security policies and procedures. Please contact us for more information about customization.
