This basic-level course is designed to meet the CTPAT requirements for all Sea Carrier Personnel, who must understand and comply with operational security measures. Supervisors and Managers who are not responsible for CTPAT program administration may also benefit from this course.*
The course outlines requirements for all CTPAT members and their business partners. It also covers the benefits, eligibility requirements, and specific criteria for sea carriers who transport cargo to the US.
Note: This course may be used for both initial training and annual refresher training in compliance with MSC 12.1. Because the implementation of CTPAT security measures varies by company, the course provides only general-purpose coverage of these topics. Companies with multiple trainees are invited to contact us regarding course customization.
Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion will be available for download. The course can be completed in 4 hours or less and earns NCBFAA-registered students 4 CCS/CES continuing education credits.
*Supervisors and Managers responsible for setting-up, documenting, administering, and ensuring compliance with their CTPAT program require additional training not addressed in this course. Marine Port Authority and Terminal Operators furnishing wharfage, dock, warehouse, or other terminal facilities in connection with a common carrier and/or water carrier also require separate training. Please contact us for more information.
