New US-based exporters, and experienced export professionals looking to “fill in the gaps”, will benefit from this introductory class. It is an overview of the types of controls and procedural requirements imposed on exports by the US government, as well as other export-related activities and parties. It also reviews the export-related responsibilities and regulatory requirements of various US agencies and provides a foundation for further study into more specific US export topics. (e.g., US export licensing, other agency controls, export clearance responsibilities and procedures, and freight forwarder export compliance issues).
