Ocean Freight IMDG (IMO Vessel) Dangerous Goods Training is required for all new and existing employees who handle Dangerous Goods or Hazardous Materials (Hazmat). This course is based on the latest Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR) and the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG) regulations and is updated regularly.

 

When must employees be trained?

According to 49CFR Dangerous Goods Regulations, employers must certify that new employees have had initial Dangerous Goods training within 90 days of being hired or change of job function. Existing employees must receive recurrent training at least once every three years. This course satisfies both initial and recurrent training requirements.
