Each year, corporations lose 100s of billions of dollars due to fraud, with employee theft alone costing American businesses an estimated $60 to $120 billion a year. Everyone, from rank-and-file employees to executives, needs to have at least a basic awareness of what fraud is, how it works, how to detect it, what the warning signs are, and how to prevent it. This brief, 35-minute class is intended to instill in employees a sense of responsibility to comply with the law and report misconduct, educating them how to detect and address fraud early-on with the goal of preventing it altogether. The course covers the most common types of fraudulent activity used to siphon millions of dollars from corporations every day. It increases awareness about how dishonest employees prey on unsuspecting co-workers and supervisors, and how clever third parties use so-called “social engineering” tactics to penetrate a company’s defenses.

 

Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion will be available for download. The course can be completed in 35 minutes and earns NCBFAA-registered students 0.5 CCS/CES continuing education credits.

To get your CE credits, follow these easy steps:

 

  1. Register for DB Schenker online training (if you haven’t already done so)
  2. Login with your user name and password, and you will be directed to your “My Page” section.
  3. Select “Update user record” on the right, enter your CCS or CES number in the “NCBFAA ID” field, and click Submit Update.

That’s it! Once you’re signed up, we’ll automatically send any CE credits you earn directly to the NCBFAA!
