Entry-level staff looking to “jump-start” their knowledge, as well as personnel already engaged in ocean forwarding and NVO (Non-Vessel Operating) operations, looking to fill in service gaps will benefit from this training. This class addresses the fundamentals of cargo transportation applicable to all modes (e.g., the role of the forwarder, cargo transportation imperatives, operational characteristics for each mode, types of shipper-carrier relationships, government regulation, tariffs, types of freight rates, etc.).

 

Once you finish this course, a printable Certificate of Completion will be available for download. The course can be completed in 16 hours or less and earns NCBFAA-registered students 16 CES continuing education credits.

For those who are already a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or a Certified Export Specialist (CES) registered with the NCBFAA, provide us with your CCS/CES ID number and you will automatically get continuing education credits upon the successful completion of a qualified course. To get your CE credits, follow these easy steps:

 

  1. Register for DB Schenker online training (if you haven’t already done so)
  2. Login with your user name and password, and you will be directed to your “My Page” section.
  3. Select “Update user record” on the right, enter your CCS or CES number in the “NCBFAA ID” field, and click Submit Update.

That’s it! Once you’re signed up, we’ll automatically send any CE credits you earn directly to the NCBFAA!
