Ground Transport 49CFR (DOT) Dangerous Goods Training is required for all new and existing employees who handle Dangerous Goods in the course of shipping, receiving, handing and storage of Hazardous Materials by Ground Transport (truck or rail). This course is based on the latest US Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and is updated regularly.
When must employees be trained?
According to 49CFR Dangerous Goods Regulations, employers must certify that new employees have had initial Dangerous Goods training within 90 days of being hired or change of job function. Existing employees must receive recurrent training at least once every three years. This course satisfies both initial and recurrent training requirements.
